Ditchin' Windows; I'm not Vista friendly.
So, I read an article about how Microsoft is planning to quit supporting sp2 (they quit supporting sp1 back in oct) and I decided to install pro. It ate my hard drive, didn't install any of my drivers, and made me a little suicidal. Brian had some ubuntu cds, so I thought, what the hell, I'll try it.
So, It's not so bad! My network drives work, with some tweaking, mp3's and video work. It runs pretty fast even on my Inspiron b120, unlike windows that hung on it alot (1.4 ghz, 504mg shared ram). It's rather like windows, but quick. Be prepared to scream fuck for a few hours while fiddling with it, after that you'll feel a wave of euphoria wash over you at accomplishing the impossible!

After fixing Samba, I giddily tried to put it on Brian's computer, and got a loud NO. DO NOT TOUCH MY THINGS, he says. But laugh's on him, for world or warcraft is down until about five hours from now. Bwuahahaha.
